GVN International Headquarters

In July 2024, the Global Virus Network (GVN) selected the University of South Florida (USF) to host its international headquarters, recognizing the university’s leadership and dedication to biomedical research and innovation. The vision and commitment of USF and USF Health leadership were instrumental in bringing GVN to USF, serving as the driving force behind its establishment in Tampa.

Co-located at the USF Research Park, this collaboration unites world-renowned virologists with USF’s expanding research initiatives, including the USF Health Institute for Translational Virology and Innovation, a GVN Center of Excellence, and Tampa General Hospital, an internationally revered medical institution bridging USF's academic research excellence in clinical innovation. Together, GVN and USF are advancing pandemic preparedness through discovery and education while fostering innovation, global collaboration, and economic growth across Florida’s life sciences sector.
