
Dr. Hongshuo Song is an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida. The research in her lab focuses on the fundamental aspects of HIV molecular virology, transmissibility, and immunopathogenesis. She holds a medical degree and a Ph.D. from Peking University. Following her education, she completed a postdoctoral associate position at Duke University Medical Center.
Dr. Song's career includes roles as a Research Fellow at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and a Scientist at the U.S. Military HIV Research Program (MHRP). Her research on HIV has been published in journals like Nature Communications and PNAS. She has been recognized with multiple Young Investigator Awards from organizations such as the Center for HIV/AIDS Vaccine Immunology (CHAVI) and the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI). She also serves as a reviewer for NIH study sections.
