WELCOME TO THE

GVN SCIENCE OF LONG COVID CONFERENCE

MEETING OVERVIEW

Over the past two years, the GVN SARS-CoV-2 Task Force has played an active role in facilitating GVN scientists sharing cutting-edge research findings and discussing developments in diagnostics, treatment, and vaccines. We firmly believe that science-driven and independent expertise are the driving forces for strengthening global health strategies.

In 2022, we constituted a Task Force focused on Long COVID in recognition of the rapidly emerging threat to global health posed by incomplete recovery from acute COVID-19. There is now growing recognition of Long COVID as an entity with the potential to increase morbidity, result in major organ dysfunction, and increase the risk for mortality. To promote a global and coordinated response to the threat of Long COVID, GVN is hosting a two-day on-line conference to bring together a global network of experts to exchange scientific ideas, distil the most important scientific advances in our understanding of Long COVID, and help chart a comprehensive and collaborative scientific program of research on Long COVID.

The conference is from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM US Eastern Time on July 20th and 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM US Eastern Time on July 21st.
